Located at the south end of Don Peninsula, just off the Inside Passage marine route, the sheltered and peaceful Oliver Cove in Oliver Cove Marine Provincial Park is a popular anchorage providing sheltered all-weather protection for small boats.

The area is interesting to explore by dinghy or canoe, but maintain a watchful eye as the entire area, and particularly Cecilia Island, is heavily populated with black bears. The area surrounding the park is very popular for fishing, though the park itself is not a fishing destination. Anyone fishing or angling in British Columbia must have the appropriate fishing license.

As you cruise through the waters near Oliver Cove Marine Provincial Park, watch for orcas, Pacific white-sided dolphins, sea lions and other marine mammals.

Because Oliver Cove is an undeveloped wilderness area with no facilities or landing dock, visitors should be self-sufficient and properly equipped.

The 74-hectare Oliver Cove Marine Provincial Park, also known as Port Blackney, is located at the south end of Don Peninsula, near the junction of Milbanke Sound and Mathieson Channel, on the central coast of British Columbia. The closest communities for supplies are Bella Bella and Denny Island (Shearwater).

Oliver Cove Marine Provincial Park is accessible by boat only. On entering Oliver Cove, boaters should be aware of a large rock in the centre of the south entrance to the cove. Oliver Cove is the ideal spot to wait for slack tide at Perceval Narrows, just to the north.
