Right on the Thompson River, Goldpan Provincial Park is the park of choice for anglers. The Thompson Nation has fished here for centuries, and still do. It's great for steelhead during the busiest time - mid October to December.

If you're river rafting, you might overnight here, as Goldpan Provincial Park is used as a rest stop for many commercial river-rafting companies. Swimming is fun here, too. The waters of the Thompson River are very swift, especially in June and July during high water. And of course, panning for gold is also possible.

There are 14 camping sites at this park - each site is situated above the river bank and provides a view of the river, along with picnic/day-use sites.  There are two double campsites. During July and August this is a very popular campground and begins filling up by 4:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. Only basic facilities are provided – picnic tables, pit toilets, fire pits, firewood and water.  The park is open from April to October and fees are collected during this time. Visitors should note that the closest store is located at Spences Bridge, 10 km north.

Goldpan Provincial Park is located 10 km south of Spences Bridge, British Columbia, between the Thompson River and Trans-Canada Highway 1.
