Designed
by renowned architect Les Furber, St. Eugene Mission Golf Club in
the BC Rockies opened in May 2000 to rave reviews from experts and
amateurs alike. Built on the grounds of a former mission, hence
the name, this course uses a fantastic mix of elevated tees, open
fairways, tight fairways, monstrous sand traps, and superb greens
to give players of all levels a golfing experience they will want
to repeat again and again.
A perfect example
of The Mission's unique style can be found at her par three, thirteenth
hole. At 220 yards from the back tee to a modest 122 yards from
the front tee, the hole challenges golfers to hit a well-defended
green seventy feet below you.
Club
selection is all-important at this hole. Shots that are not on-the-mark
will find their way into the evergreen forest that lines the fairway
or one of the four white sand traps that envelops the hole.If you
are going to miss anywhere, miss short and hope for a chip and putt
to save par. Regardless of your style of play, St. Eugene Mission
has the game for you. This year come play the newest in a long line
of superb Rocky Mountain courses. Play St. Eugene Mission Golf Club
with BC Golf Vacations.
