Billy
Barker's discovery of gold on Williams Creek in 1862 sparked
a rush of adventurers from around the world. Prospectors
seeking gold have been replaced by visitors in search
of guest ranches, and thousands of pristine lakes, rivers
and streams. Fishing rods, kayaks, rafts and skis have
replaced gold pans and gold dust. |
